Bethesda has announced on Twitter that two of its major upcoming games have been delayed into next year. Both Redfall and the eagerly awaited Starfield have been delayed. According to the statement released by Bethesda, these hgames have been pushed back into the “first half of 2023”.
There’s not much of an explanation for this decision but Bethesda does state the teams want to ensure they create “the best, most polished versions of them”. Starfield was originally announced in 2018 and was finally set to release on November 11th 2022 as a key game for the holiday season. The advertising for the game was just starting to ramp up so the delay is certainly unexpected by most.
In the case of Redfall, news of the game has been almost nonexistant since it was announced in 2021. A small handful of screenshots were leaked last year but that’s all we’ve seen on it since.
Bethesda and Xbox will hopefully be announcing a new release date for Starfield and the mysterious Redfall soon.
