Rainbow Six Extraction was revealed at E3 2019 as Rainbow Six Quarantine and was expected for a 2020 release. The game has been delayed multiple times to give the team more time and due to the developmental challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s now been slated for a January 2022 release.
Ubisoft hasn’t officially announced the release date but it looks like they might have leaked it by accident. As Video Games Chronicle (https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/ubisoft-has-seemingly-leaked-rainbow-six-extractions-release-date/) reports, a Ubisoft blog post originally posted in July 2021 included a release date. The blog post stated the game would release January 20th 2022. Since then the blog post has been updated again to remove the specific date.
So it would seem that Ubisoft isn’t ready to confirm a release date for Rainbow Six Extraction yet which is bad news for excited players. Hopefully Ubisoft will be making an announcement soon at the prospected January release.
