The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was supposed to be released on September 1st, with the first gameplay trailer released in early July. For a variety of reasons, interested gamers did not respond favourably to the gameplay video. It lacked gameplay variety leading to viewers being confused about the game and the graphics appeared sloppy in places.
The official Gollum game Twitter account has issued a statement announcing the game’s delay. The team has decided to postpone the release by “a few months” in order to “deliver the best possible experience” on release day. The announcement has received mostly positive feedback from gamers, particularly those who were disappointed by the first gameplay trailer.
A new release date will be announced “in the new future” for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. We can expect an update to come before the end of the year.
