the Lego Star Wars Saga is everything it promises to be. We will look at the PlayStation 5 Graphics, Gameplays, Story and options available in the PS5 release of Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga.

The LEGO video games have been delighting families for almost 20 years but will the Skywalker Saga live up to the hype.

With the next release in the lego games series, we are going back to the series that started the whole thing, way back in 2005: Lego Star Wars. In a few weeks, we will have the conclusion (for now) to the Star Wars series with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. This game is slated to cover the events of all 9 Star Wars films as told through the vision and classic humor of the LEGO brand. Let’s take a look at the many features that will have fans of both Star Wars and LEGO glued to their gaming devices.

The Entire Story

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will contain every mainline Star Wars film, including the latest trilogy. Over the course of 45 missions (5 missions per film), you will be reintroduced to the characters you know and love, and relive the adventures many of us know by heart. And, with the Mumble Mode feature, you will be able to switch between the game’s included voice acting, and the classic style LEGO game audio of mumbles and grunts. The choice is yours, the nostalgia of playing the game like the original 2005 release sounds great, but with amazing voice acting by Sam Witwer, Daniel Logan, Anthony Daniels, and even Billy Dee Williams, the standard game audio should be very impressive. I’ve always wanted to hear the real Lando Calrissian and C-3PO in LEGO form!

So Many Characters

This newest LEGO Star Wars game sure does feel like a big finale. It has the largest roster of any LEGO game, with an estimated 300 playable characters before the DLC is factored in. You will likely be able to take control of your favorite Star Wars character at some point, as the roster includes all of the main cast, as well as the many different types of droids, porgs, and even Yaddle, who has a total screen time of 12 seconds across every film. And, perhaps just as exciting, is the announced DLC to be released after the full game. Characters from The Mandalorian Season 1 and 2, The Bad Batch, Rogue One, and Solo are all confirmed to be available. I’m particularly excited to get the Dinn Djarin game I’ve been wanting in a roundabout way, although little Grogu won’t be playable, unfortunately (he’s just a baby!).

The Whole Galaxy Far, Far Away

Since LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will cover all 9 films, you will obviously visit every planet featured in those films. However, you won’t be locked into a planet according to its missions. You will be able to freely warp to any planet that’s already been unlocked and explore it for its many secrets and collectibles. Every planet from Kashyyk to Coruscant has been fully realized by the developers, each one maintaining its own unique style and feel. And, with the brand new NTT engine that Traveller’s Tales built the game on, they’re all more immersive than ever. Snowflakes cling to clothes and fur, and dirt or sand will show on character models as you traverse forests or dusty towns.

With the last few Star Wars games being less than great (besides Jedi: Fallen Order), fans have a lot riding on this new entry. But with the dedication and care that has been shown in previous games made by Traveller’s Tales, and the footage that has been released so far, I think LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga could end up being a fantastic game for new and old fans alike. Grab your copy when the game releases on April 5th, 2022 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, and PC.
