GOG has announced they will be suspending all sales in Russia and Belarus in support of Ukraine which has been invaded by both countries. This has been followed up by a similar announcement from CD Projekt Red as well.
Posting an announcement to GOG, the company states that “effective March 3rd 2022, we suspend sales of all games distributed on the GOG platform on the territories of Russia and Belarus”. Players from those regions can still access their accounts and play games they own but they can no longer purchase new games from the GOG store.
At the same time, CC Projekt Red has posted to Twitter announcing they are ceasing sales in Russia and Belarus. The message states they have “made the decision to halt all sales of our games to Russia and Belarus” in support of Ukraine. All digital sales will be halted and physical stock deliveries will end.
