Elder Scrolls 6 delayed to 2026?

The Elder Scrolls 6 might not be coming until 2026

Todd Howard has revealed that Bethesda intends to have a 15-year gap between Elder Scrolls games due to their focus on Starfield. In an interview with IGN, Howard explained the company is fully focused on Starfield and will be working on Elder Scrolls 6 after that.

He commented that “when you’re making a game, it takes 4 – 5 years” but he didn’t confirm or deny the 2026 estimate for The Elder Scrolls 6. Starfield will be releasing in 2022 so a four year development plan for the next Elder Scrolls game would put it down for a 2026 release date. It would also fall in line with the 15-year gap between Elder Scroll games that Bethesda is apparently aiming for.

Based on this information from Howard, it looks like there’s no chance of seeing Elder Scrolls 6 until 2026 at least. However, this isn’t confirmed and we could be waiting for quite some time.
