While Dying Light 2 has only recently been released, Techland has revealed (https://twitter.com/DyingLightGame/status/1522199589280964609?s=20&t=oNEpjBpk_VjBAChoy5Lomw) another surprise for the first game in the series. Anyone who owns the Standard Edition of Dying Light will receive a free upgrade to the Enhanced Edition. There is no need for a season pass, and anyone who purchases the game in the future will also receive the free upgrade.
To access the upgrade, players must first launch the game and then navigate to the “DLC Packs” section. The five paid DLCs will be present and available for free via the game’s menu. This includes The Following, which adds a new story, map, and vehicle to the mix.
Here are the DLC you can grab for free:
- Dying Light: The Following
- The Bozak Horde
- Crash Test Skin Pack
- Ultimate Survivor Bundle
- Cuisine & Cargo
Dying Light: Enhanced Edition is not the same as the next-gen upgrade releases for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in March. Anyone who currently owns the Standard Edition for Dying Light can download all the DLC for free.
