Dragon Age 4 may not release for PS4 or Xbox One

Some new evidence is coming to light which suggests the next Dragon Age might not be releasing for the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Instead, it’s thought the upcoming game will only release for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.

The news has come from the LinkedIn page of a former Bioware developer. Danial Nordlander was the Lead Player Designer on the new Dragon Age project between October 2019 and October 2020 in Canada. According to his LinkedIn page (https://www.linkedin.com/in/danielnordlander/), the Dragon Age game he was working on is for PC, PS5 along with Xbox Series X and S. Before working on Dragon Age, Nordlander previously worked on Anthem for Bioware. GamesBeat (https://venturebeat.com/2021/10/14/dragon-age-4-is-heading-to-ps5-xbox-series-x-s-without-cross-gen-releases/) also adds that an unnamed source confirmed this information.

EA and Bioware haven’t had much to say about the upcoming Dragon Age game. It’s not expected to release before 2023 so not having a last-gen release would make sense.
