CD Projekt Red has quietly confirmed that the expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming in 2023. The updated timeline was revealed during the studio’s latest earnings call.
During the earnings call, President and joint CEO Adam Kicinski states that “support for Cyberpunk will continue”. This new earnings call comes after the announcement for a new Witcher game from CD Projekt Red. Kicinski also confiirms the studio’s main focus is still on Cyberpunk 2077 and not the new Witcher game.
Kicinski comments that right now, the bulk of our teams are working on the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion that is targeted to be released in 2023″. Their plan is that the company will “gradually shift to new exciting endeavours” for both Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher.
No new details about the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 expansion were revealed during the earnings call. The 2023 date is only being targeted, it is possible CD Projekt Red will push the release back further if needed.
