Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was recently revealed and the first official gameplay trailer was unveiled as part of the Summer Game Fest 2022 showcase. The gameplay reveal gives us a look at the first campaign mission in the upcoming game.
The showcase featured just over seven minutes of gameplay from the next Call of Duty game. It sends the player onto an oil rig to fight through enemies to find the controls for a missle on route to the US. Graphically it does look better than the 2019 Modern Warfare but we only see a small portion of the game.
In addition to the first mission, Infinity Ward also introduces the characters the game focuses on: Task Force 141. During the Summer Game Fest the company talked a little bit more about the game but didn’t reveal too much information.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will release on October 28th later this year.
