Nintendo has issued a new update regarding The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s upcoming sequel. The company had planned to release it in 2022 and had included it on the list of games to be released this year. Last month, the release date for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 was also reconfirmed, but this will no longer be the case.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 has been pushed back to 2023. Eiji Aonuma, the series’ director, made the announcement in a video posted to the official Nintendo YouTube channel. He explains that the game was delayed so that they could make the “experience something special,” and he apologises for the inconvenience.
It’s still being billed as “The Sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” and the delay announcement video includes some new gameplay footage. More information about the game will be released later this year.
