Bethesda PC launcher is shutting down in May and moving to Steam

Bethesda has announced that their PC launcher is closing this year and that all of your owned games can be transferred to Steam. This is a sudden change and there’s no confirmed exact dates yet but we know the closure will begin in early April.

The launcher will officially close in May and players will no longer be able to launch their games from it. Bethesda has confirmed that gamers can transfer their games from the Bethesda launcher to Steam in April. This gives players only one month to transfer their game library to Steam.

Not only games are being moved with this change, any money currently in account wallets will also be transferred to Steam wallets in April. Game saves and progress will also be transferred across to Steam. For most games all this will happen automatically, however Fallout 76 requires you to link your Steam and Bethesda accounts together before the launcher closure.
